My maternal granny, was always called Neena (or if you ask my dad, Smourg!!!) to distinguish her from Nana - don't know where the idea came from though.

My mom had three because she had a step mother - so she had big granny, little granny and granny on the bus. We've just had a new baby, my nephew and his wife have just had baby Sylvie, they call her Sylvie sunshine. Going to see her today and have a munch.

Oh, gosh, missed the great news, Jo! A big welcome to Lilly-May and congratulations to the new parents and grandparents (lookin' good, by-the-way Gran). Lilly-May looks very pretty - properly finished, not red and wrinkly like so many new babes.

Luv, Di

Haven't managed to get there yet - had a bad back and I've been taking some real "bombers" for the pain, which made be feel very "intoxicated" and the instructions said definitely no driving. Hoping to get over this weekend - I've seen pictures and she's gorgeous. She named after my mom, so that was lovely.
