I know but how do you know that that John James at Romsley is the father of
your John James that marries Sarah Green

how do you know that it isnt the father of the John James that I gave the link for
who married Caroline Hunt?

I really think it would be an idea to look up that marriage for John James and caroline in 1850

to exclude or include him see who father is

if not

but doesnt mean that it is that John with wife Sarah...

Whew! Thanks for all that. Right, the facts I have are that John James definitely married Sarah Green at St Thomas Dudley because I have their daughter, Alice's, Birth Certificate, which of course, names the mother. As regards who John's family was, I'm going by the children's names from 1841 to 1871, when I know the family was all correct. Added to which, on John's birth record, his father's occupation is stated as being a farmer. The 1841 Census lists John the father as an Agricultural Labourer, which I know is a farmer. His children were

Sarah - christened 19.10.1817 St Kenelms
Ann - christened 6.2.1820
Charlotte - christened 28.10.1821
Mary - christened 21.12.1823
John - christened 23 April 1826
Martha - christened 15.7.1828
Richard - christened 6.2.1831
William - christened 14.9.1834

All of these names and ages tie in with the censuses from thereon in and to this day there has always been a Mary in the family. There was never a Caroline.

Oh, and all of the above children were christened at St Kenelms.

Ok well I don't think we can do much more on this until that marriage for
the other John James is looked up./to Caroline

I don't think you can tie in yours who married Sarah Green to that John with wife Sarah
based on that 1841 and the bapts
but that is only my opinion
I certainly wouldnt add it to the BCC tree until I knew for sure

If anyone is going to Worcs (think it is there St Kenelms )
pls let us know
