I would have thought that Boswell was a difficult name to research, My old friend was a Boswell (died 2 yrs ago) and he was a direct Romany family.

I've looked for quite a while for the marriage of John Boswell to a Maria.
On the census it has her down as being born in 1839, so in 1873 she would of been abt 34 the right age for the death record that you have put. This is possibly why she was not on the 1881 census or later.
Who were the witnesses to the marriage, will it help anywhere?
Only thing I can suggest is that you bought one of Marias youngest childrens birth cert to find out Marias maiden name?
Other than that we cant do anymore I dont think?

Freebmd
Births Mar 1864
Boswell Darius Dudley 6c 28
Births Dec 1867
Boswell Julia Dudley 6c 14
Births Mar 1870
BOSWELL Alice Dudley 6c 14
Or use West mid BMD
West Midlands Birth indexes for the years: 1864
BOSWELL Darius Rowley Regis Sandwell Register Office RR/37/390
West Midlands Birth indexes for the years: 1867
BOSWELL Julia Rowley Regis Sandwell Register Office RR/45/290
I will add that marriage and possible death.
Other than that I think archive as we really cant go anymore without more info.

It does look like he is the John Boswell here :
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ell-Familybut we would need the marriage to Clarify.
The only marriage I can see for John Boswell to a Mary is
Marriages Mar 1842
ADAMS Zephaniah Benjamin Aston 16 252
BAUGH Margaret Caroline Aston 16 252
BOSWELL John Aston 16 252
BUTLER Emma Aston 16 252
JOHNSON Mary Aston 16 252
MILLER William Aston 16 252
MORGAN Francis Aston 16 252
WEDGE John Aston 16 252
Probably a bit of a long shot to add it to Lookups
I don't have any more information on the Boswells, I only added them because Maria married Benjamin Harvey.
