Hi mini
I have added all we have so far and a bit more into the BCC tree.
Can you just confirm that this is your Alice, and if it is, do you have the marriage details, to save looking it up, then I will add this too

All added here :
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... een-FamilyMini - do you have this marriage - if not I will add it to lookup list
1895 : HALE Joseph H JAMES Mary P Smethwick, Holy Trinity Sandwell Register Office 1/4/275
Found Sarah's parents in 1841 - in 1851 her mother is living with Thomas Banner, who is found living with John and Sarah in 1861 and 1871. So Sarah must have had a sister who married a Banner. Can't find marriage, so probably need Thomas's birth cert to find out who his parents are.
Found a possible marriage for Thomas's sister Jane, also with John and Sarah James in
1877 : BANNER Jane FOXLEY Joseph Smethwick, Holy Trinity Sandwell Register Office 1/2/375
Can't find Thomas in 1881
Here he is in following census :
1891 : 21, Halford Lane, Smethwick, Staffs
Thomas Banner, 43, Shopkeeper, Grocer, Born in Clent
Hannah Banner, 48, Born in West Bromwich
Ernest Banner, Son, 13, Office Boy
Alice Banner, Daur, 10, Scholar
Annie Banner, Daur, 17, Born in Handsworth
Others Born in Smethwick
1901 : 40 Westfield Road, Smethwick, Staffs
Thomas Henry Banner, 52, Retired Publican, Born in Clent
Hannah Banner, 58, Born in West Bromwich
Annie Eliza Banner, Daur, 26, Born in Handsworth
Others Born in Smethwick
Found some information on Ancestry Tree and have contacted the tree owner to see if she has the Derby marriage. She has Thomas's father as Thomas, but no mother
Thomas Banner born 1847 in Clent married Elizabeth Gibbs, 1873 in West Bromwich
Not on West Midlands BMD so likely to be in Handsworth. Will add to my Birmingham list
Then married Hannah Pardoe, 1886 in Derby
Marriage for Thomas Banner and Hannah Pardoe - March Qtr 1886 - Derby District
Possible Birth for Thomas Henry Banner : Dec Qtr 1846 - Bromsgrove District
Possible Birth for Jane Banner : June Qtr 1853 - Bromsgrove District
Witnesses at the marriage of John and Sarah are James (Bache??) and Ann Green (X). I wonder if Ann is Sarah's sister and James might be James Banner - it was a very unclear copy

Trusting Antie Em on that as she did the webpage, but there is information given earlier on in this thread at John's birth/baptism record that his father was also called John and that he was a farmer. The family is definitely correct from Alice James' marriage to Francis Bunce to John b. 1826, her father and his wife, Sarah James nee Green.
Cheers.

Hi Northern Lass
Sorry, it was the marriage information I got the Farmer bit from : Here's the St Thomas Marriage
9 April 1849 - St Thomas, Dudley
John James, 23, Bachelor, Stock Taker, of Dudley, Father John James, Farmer
Sarah Green (X), 21, Spinster, of Dudley, Father Joseph Green (Dec) Sinker
Witnesses : James (Bache??) and Ann Green (X) The Census information I got based on the area they all seem to have been around at the time and the William information is based on earlier information that a John and a Sarah were his parents, in that area. Not sure if it's correct or not, that's why I wondered if I could maybe get verification from here. I intend to contact Dudley Council to see if they can help, but I'm not sure what exactly to ask for at this point.

Hi Mini, Dudley Council can't help you, you need Worcester Record Office, St Kenelm's Parish Registers are held there, some of them are missing though

OK Thanks to all who have helped me, it's greatly appreciated. Haven't had a response to the email I sent to Dudley but will now contact Worcester Record Office to see what I can dig up there.
Thanks again
