minishant1 wrote:Trusting Antie Em on that as she did the webpage, but there is information given earlier on in this thread at John's birth/baptism record that his father was also called John and that he was a farmer. The family is definitely correct from Alice James' marriage to Francis Bunce to John b. 1826, her father and his wife, Sarah James nee Green.
Cheers.

Sorry, it was the marriage information I got the Farmer bit from : Here's the St Thomas Marriage
9 April 1849 - St Thomas, Dudley
John James, 23, Bachelor, Stock Taker, of Dudley, Father John James, Farmer
Sarah Green (X), 21, Spinster, of Dudley, Father Joseph Green (Dec) Sinker
Witnesses : James (Bache??) and Ann Green (X) The Census information I got based on the area they all seem to have been around at the time and the William information is based on earlier information that a John and a Sarah were his parents, in that area. Not sure if it's correct or not, that's why I wondered if I could maybe get verification from here. I intend to contact Dudley Council to see if they can help, but I'm not sure what exactly to ask for at this point.
