We have always used KMH for wind speed.

We are now getting some of the hardest rainfall I have ever seen.

The Cyclone has messed with the weather all around Australia.

Looking at the radar the rain is approaching in very narrow and parallel lines which is something I can't recall seeing before.

We are now flooded. My kitchen is full of water and my sisters house has an inbuilt swimming pool...in every room.

Is that due to the hurricane?

Yes, it has messed up the weather for the whole of Australia.

Two cyclones in a row are actually to blame as Cyclone Anthony also contributed to the "Monsoon" we just had.

We have had record humidity for the last week and over 150mm of rain this afternoon.

We are expecting another 200mm tommorow.

Mum and Dad on Phillip Island have had about 250mm today.

So sorry mark - I can't imagine how devastating it must be. Do you have an upstairs where you can go for safety or are your rooms all on ground level.

I have two stories so I have moved to the living room.

Flooding is caused by my eaves getting destroyed.

I am on top of a hill so if it was just water level we would need an ark :P

Rather annoying as the insurance will take days....

No use ringing the State Emergency Service to come and put up some tarpaulin as they are flat out all around the state.

If you look at Australia you can see the rain stretches all the way to the Northern Territory.

Sydney is in danger from bushfires so it could be worse.

As long as you do eventually get an insurance payout that will be good. Just keep safe
