Re: Hipkiss and Warr (Lnl)
Hi NL and Peter, have checked all this out. Maria and Sarah Warr were I am sure sisters. Moses Hipkiss and James Hipkiss I think were Cousins. Moses Baptised 1779 Dudley son of Joseph and Jane Hipkiss. James Baptised 1791 Park Lane Cradley son of John and Jane Hipkiss. Moses was Married twice 13.4.1800 Clent (NL could you have a look in your Clent Book please) two children Joseph Baptised 29.12.1805 Cradley and John Baptised 29.12.1803 Cradley. Moses then Married Sarah Warr, he is a Widower on the Marriage Entry. Will let you know when this is all on BCC best wishes from linell.

Will have a look on the IGI Suki. Moses's first Marriage to Nancy Drew 13.4.1800 Clent, Moses was a bach and Nancy a spinster both made their mark, married by Banns, Witnesses were Noah Buffery (Buffery was a local name) and Robert Waldron Church Warden, info from NL. Can be archived now NL. Best Wishes from linell.

Hi Suki, there are lots of Joseph and John Hipkiss's on the IGI, born in the 1700's could be any of them
Would be pure guess work trying to get any further back. Best Wishes from linell.

Re: Hipkiss and Warr (Lnl)
Hi Suki, found this today from the Old Swinford Parish Settlements, this has to be Ruth, Mother of Maria and Sarah Warr, it is such an unusual name.
(184) 1774 Richard Oldnall Removal Order from Old Swinford to Kinfare Staffs, with wife Hannah and children Benjamin born 1766, William born 1768, John born 1770 and Ruth born 1772.
Ruth must have returned to the Kingswinford area at some point either before she met John Warr or afterwards? That takes us another generation back. Glad you haven't had time to archive this yet NL
Best Wishes from linell.

Re: Hipkiss and Warr (Lnl)
Richard Oldnall Married Hannah Coley 23.10.1763 Old Swinford, looks as though the family were originally from Pedmore Stourbridge. linell.
