im sorry i was crying ... you know more than i do & he is my father...i am soo thankful for everyones help..
i dont know why people kept telling me i could never find out?, why do they want me to leave it alone?..
Ok so he was registered as PARISH..how can i ever find out who is father was? or is the end of the line for me?..wont the birth cert just say my dads mums name & not his real dads?
..
ive read about the addoption bit..it would be best for the short cert?

Adoption Orders made between 1927 and 1949: Neither the country, district or sub districts are shown on a full certificate as this information is not included in the format of the entry. The country of birth will be shown on a short certificate if it recorded on the Court Order.
so the Parish would be his real cert..then he has another the addoption one..KEMP?

hi debbie we will help you to find out as much detail as possible about your dad, glad nl found his birth, you will need to send for the full certificate, i would also ask your mum if she has a copy of her wedding cert to your dad or can she remember any detail of it as you gran might of told your dad who his father was and he might of put it on the marriage cert worth checking anyway,


you might get the full info of his birth cert as it wasnt a full adoption, as your grans his real mother it just that he was adopted by your grans husband ?

i dont think mum would have the marriage cert anymore..but again i can ask her tomorrow, i know my mum would be interested...

i can remember when i was about 10? & my dad was very upset in the kitchen & i can remember him saying he was adopted..i was very young & things like that just didnt bother me, why would they? i had my dad & thats all that mattered to me..so i guess no more of it was talked about..& i think my dad said he wasnt interested who his real dad was, as far as he was concerned grandad was his dad..so we never talked about it again..
I think i heard once my dads real dad was a pilot & got shot down in the war? but that could be false?

How do i go about getting a copy of my dads birth cert ?... how can i find my real grandfather if his name isnt on birth cert ?
