Daniel was around 15 years old, if Jane is his Daughter, Daniel is not in the bible it was started with Jane. i think it is an assumption but with following the census's it does come across that way ???????? sorry

sophia does keep coming up living in the carpenters arms public house at the age of 13, which my granmother always said her family own the pub once apon a time. i think but i cannot fit them into the tree at the minute,

The worst part is going in for the first time as you think you will be the only person who doesn't know where the lockers are and what you have to do but so long as the first thing you say is "This is my first time - can you help me?" -- then they really are helpful in archives.

I am continually amazed at how cheerfully they greet me at the desk when I go back with yet another question.

I think one thing to remember is that people who work in archives have chosen to work there because they love "old things" and want to share them with other people -- it is not "just a job" to them but a way of life.

Most of them need you to take identification -- check on the internet before you go what they accept
Change in case you need it for the locker to put your belongings in.
Pencils to write with. -- never pens
Some let you take in laptops -- you can usually check that on the internet too.
Also go with something specific you want to follow up -- it is always easier to have an aim in mind -- I spent my first couple of times looking up marriages and baptisms that I already knew about so that I could master the machines and index systems. -- it is still an amazing feeling when you find a hand written copy for yourself and not just on the internet.

Go for it!! and let us know how you get on.
