I've had a look at this. I don't know either where Robert fits in either.
I do know that Barbara (if she wasthe birth mother) would be 42 at the point of Roberts birth!!!!! Also Interestingly, Edward & Barbara were married at the same church as Robert & Sarah in 1847. Coincidence?

No -- they went on having babies until their bodies stopped them or they died from exhaustion!
Perhaps more unusual to have first child at that age but if she had only recently got married then...
My great uncle was 20 the day my grandfather was born --- another 11 in between!!

So Edwards father is Robert, seems like thats getting somewhere! Could have named his son after his father?
