It must have been very disappointing after waiting so long to see it. I would have waited there ages myself if Iwas nearer.

Having said that it has made me laugh this morning , imagining 20 great big shires towing the anchor and trying to get round a roundabout!
and then not likeing the tarmac but preferring good old fashioned cobbles. Just shows how hard it is to try and recreate a moment from history.

On Channel 4 at 9.00p.m. on Monday, 26th September they are showing number 1 of 5 programmes "Titanic: the Mission" I've been told that one of these programmes will be of the procession which took place from Dudley-Netherton in August.

Thanks for the links Carol, just catching up on the forum after being on my hols.

 Sorry, got the right day but not the right date. Just watched it on iplayer as last night we were watching Spooks and recorded DCI Banks. 3 programmes I wanted to watch all on at the same time, then later on in the week there's nothing worth watching.

Roberto: Went to Devon for a couple of days then on to Cornwall for 8 days, staying in Falmouth as a base. Really enjoyed it, thanks for asking. This year we've been venturing to our old haunts of 20plus years ago and haven't some places been spoilt by commercialism? Progress I suppose they'd call it.

It's always a temptation to retrace your steps and try to relive happy memories Barb.
