Re: Who do you think you are. Season 7.
i watched it, thought he was a bit arrogant especially when he told that old guy he owed him a £1,000 pounds and his great gran was a bit of a slapper, thats coming from him, whos gg grandad had three wives no deaths found and scarpered leaving a 3 year old in a boys home. luck he didnt say it to me or there would of been a slap, him across the kisser

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Sometimes they drag out evidence that anybody with half a brain would find in two minutes.
When he searched on Ancestry for Georgina Tongue it would have highlighted the Parish Record for the marriage which showed Frederick the Sailor's father being a Stockbroker.
When he searched for Georgina Everett he would have seen she remarried. Wouldn't you want to chase down any of her children?
He should have searched the Old Bailey records and then he would have seen Frederick the Sailor being accused, and aquited, of sodomy. I wouold love to have seen his reaction to that one.
No the best episode and in the end Fred became a sailor for practicle reason, not a rebellion or sense of adventure.

I suppose in the end it's made as entertainment, and they put or leave out just what they want!!!

I must be one of the few people who found a very rich ancestor and then find out the child I am descended from was the black sheep of the family and the only one not mentioned in the will

I can see mine being interesting.
This is Grandad Dodd. Labourer.
This is Grandad Ford. Labourer.
This is Great Grandad Dodd. Soldier then labourer then Night Soil Labourer. (Oh, he did spend more than 100 days in hospital with three different bouts of VD whilst in India.)
This is Great Grandad Ford. Labourer.
This is Great Grandad Homer. Labourer.
This is Great Grandad Murphy. Boat Builder.
This is Great Grandad Homer. Labourer.
it would make riveting television.

Re: Who do you think you are. Season 7.
I loved the Alexander Armstrong episode because no matter what he did, he could not find a poor person in his family
My daughter was in stitches when he was proud of his relative being a chamber maid to the Queen.
"So what!" I said. "Your Great Grandad exptied the chamber pots for thousands of citizens of Walsall!"
She thought that would not be as interesting to the viewers of W.D.Y.T.Y.A
