Hi Mike, the Martha could have been a mistake, should have read Gertie maybe? They did make mistakes, nothing can be taken as 100% accurate. Best Wishes from Lin.

Jan,.....You are an exceptional ooman..........and thanks to your other friends who have contibuted.
Thank you so much for final details, as I have said before my grandafather was never mentioned in family but the suspect lies either in 2 names.
The one is Billy Kimber the well known Birmingham gangster or Solly Wolff a friend of Kimbers.
My Grandma Florrie never disclosed the father of my Mom. However J T Plumley was a friend too, after Mom was born and continued to live with Grandma until her death, he then went to Australia and died there age 98.....He was a former Director of Rubery Owen Ltd and my not so much liked step Grandad.
Love
Mike.

Pleased to Help Mike

do you have the birth certif for your mum?
sometimes there is more info in a different certificate, I can't look up birth or death certifs
registry offices are where you get those from.

The other avenue is a baptism record
if you know the church and year they sometimes write things in the entry
:?
