This one found by Peter is probably the one you are looking for, obviously Widowed and living with his daughter.

FRANCIS HEAD Male

Marriages:
Spouse: ANN TRANTER Family

Hi Chris, don't take any notice on the spellings of names, they are all spelt incorrectly, depending on who was writing them down at the time and who transcribed them. Francis in Brewood Staffs is an Ag Lab, the one in Claverley Shropshire is a Male Servant, but Francis Snr is living in Shropshire in 1851, with Daughter Ann who was born Claverley. Can't find him in 1841? Linell.

That won't be so easy, you really need to find a Tranter child, and trace their baptism back.

Will see if I can find any living near the Head family.

Hi Chris there are no Tranters that I can find in Claverley 1841. I would search the Parish Register for the burial of a Mr Tranter between about 1815 and 1820. HTH from Linell.

Hi Chris, sorry I don't have any for Shropshire, think that Peter and Mark do, they maybe able to search for you. Or you can buy on line, here is one link:- http://www.dg.petch.btinternet.co.uk/En ... isters.htm

I've bought some from Booksellers on line. Or you can write to Shropshire Archives at Shewsbury, they will search for you but they do charge. Good luck from Linell.
