I've cracked it, Mary Tickle was Mary Southwell, and the family lived at Bournville, hence they were Chocolate Makers.

And granger did a good job too cos that was the right Tickle family in 1901 though Mary did not show up until later.

I think Alice Tickle and Mary Southwell both worked at Cadburys, made friends, Alice took Mary home where she met and fell in love with brother Charles Tickle I get the feeling that Charles either died young or they split up. No children found and simmadonna's family seemed to think that Mary was a Spinster Just my thoughts Linell.
