Dimmocks in the Cradley Baptist Register:-

Joseph son of Wm and Dinah Dimock born 1829 Aug 6
William son of Wm and Dinah Dimock born 1839 Oct 9

I have a Hannah Dimmock born abt. 1769 Mushroom Green. (I found a Baptism at Park Lane Presbyterian Chapel Cradley for a Nancy Dimmock daughter of Joseph and Sarah Dimmock of Mushroom Green Dudley Wood 27.1.1797. Hannah and Thomas lived there circa 1800, three of their children's baptism's say the family were from Dudley or Mushroom. I believe that Joseph Dimmock father of Nancy could be a brother of Hannah and that her family were from Mushroom Green.)

Hi

The key to linking Diana to Samuel Yardley is through her son Joseph Dimmock.

In 1841 he's living with Samuel & Mary Yardley in Mushroom - his age is shown as 10. Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece 1196; Book: 17; Civil Parish: Dudley; County: Worcestershire; Enumeration District: 37; Folio: 56; Page: 22; Line: 21; GSU roll: 464207.
In 1851 he's still living with Samuel & Mary Yardley in Mushroom - his age is shown as 21. He is identified as their grandson. Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece: 2033; Folio: 581; Page: 57; GSU roll: 87440.

We know there is a marriage for William Dimmock & Diana Yardley.
We know a Joseph Dimmock was born on : 06 AUG 1829 to a William Dimmock & Diniah Yardley. [IGI C093921]
We know a William Dimmock, son of William & Diana, was christened 20 MAR 1831 at the Wesleyan Chapel, Dudley. [IGI C025071]
We know a William & Diana Dimmock were buried 17/9/1832 at St Nicholas Hetton Le Hole Durham.

One issue, I can't explain as nothing quite seems to fit, is the William born about 9/10/1839 Particular Baptist, Cradley, Worcester to a William & Diniah Yardley. [IGI C093921]. In 1841 there's a William [aged 7] living with Samuel. On freebmd there's a William's birth registered in the 1838 March quarter.

There's also a Louisa Dimmock aged 4 or 11 living with Samuel & Mary in 1841 and who she belongs to I don't know!

Doug wrote <We know a William & Diana Dimmock were buried 17/9/1832 at St Nicholas Hetton Le Hole Durham.>Do you have the correct date there Doug. As I have William born 9.10.1839, listed in the Cradley Register :?:

Also quote from Doug <We know a William Dimmock, son of William & Diana, was christened 20 MAR 1831 at the Wesleyan Chapel, Dudley. [IGI C025071]>

Are there two Wm and Dianah's :?:

Are these three children brothes and sisters do you think :?:

1841 Mushroom Green Dudley
YARDLEY, Saml M 55 1786 Worcestershire
YARDLEY, Mary F 50 1791 Worcestershire
YARDLEY, Saml M 15 1826 Worcestershire
YARDLEY, Rose F 15 1826 Worcestershire
YARDLEY, Esther F 11 1830 Worcestershire
DIMMOCK, Joseph M 10 1831 Worcestershire
DIMMOCK, William M 7 1834 Worcestershire

Thanks for that Cid, think we have them already on BCC, Marriage to Elizabeth Woodall. I can't find anything percific for Louisa Dimmock born about 1837 (the transcription says aged 11 but I think it is 4) there's a death reg Dudley 1854, but it could be another child? Will keep looking, many thanks from Linell.
