So could this be for the first Cornelius of John and Sarah.

Hi NL, I checked the Marriage June 1794 for Cornelius and Eleanor, didn't say anything else. Also the June 1776 Bap for Cornelius son of Joseph and Elizabeth, no further details there, anything else you want looking up? Linell.

So that means that one is out of the frame for that one being alive in 1841
in which case those kids are not Eliza dau of Cornelius and Elizabeth
and not Phebe dau of Cornelius and Eleanor

does that sound rite?

Ok think that sorts out the Cornelius born 1776 married twice son of Joseph Priest and Elizabeth Ingley
he dies 1825....still need to verify where that Maria dau came from for him
have contacted Di.....I believe that Maria then married Joseph Sidaway
and we can connect up then..

So the other Cornelius married late I have info given from a good source...
This second Cornelius (s/o John & Sarah Priest bap. 11.04.1779) was a soldier in the 2nd Royal Veteran Battalion, 36th Foot Regiment, and served for 15years and 9 months, finally leaving at the age of 43. His pension records are at the National Archives ref. WO 121/186/242.

So that must be the one at Gosty with Fillis in 1841 and kids

I found them in Gorsty Hill 1851 Jimmy and Phillis is now 60 and a Widow. Couldn't find any baps for her children NL or any Marriage to Cornelius

hmm not quite rite at the top of tree.....wrong parents I think

John and Sarah Priest had 2 Cornelius 1776 who died
and the 1779 one with Phillis

although not sure on that Maria Priest...that concerns me

so think they have their cornelius mixed a bit

we can prove that the one in 1841 is the one that died 1844 informant nephew of Cornelius
an emanuel son of Mary parsons nee priest
1841 cornelius living near another son of Mary Parsons nee priest Richard parsons
Mary the sister of Cornelius links up the 1841 one nicely

The 1776 one died 1825 aged 49
