Yep, NL, James (assuming James and Letitia were indeed siblings) married Sarah Ann Murphy on 25 Dec 1884 at St Giles' and Letitia married Humphrey Humphreys at St Thomas', Dudley in 1880. No trace of Letitia after her marriage, but there is a Letitia Humphreys in the USA censuses, born the same year, 1858, sailing to New York via Cherbourg in 1908 and later in Washington, but I think this is a different person. Mysterious.

so if the father on those marriages you have for James b 1860 and Letitia b 1858 is the same and occup checks
then not sure what further clarfication you needed cos you said this
I still lack final proof that the Oldbury James Rowbottom b. (I think) in 1860 who married my half great aunt Sarah Ann Murphy, was the brother of Letitia Rowbottom b. 1858. Any ideas?

If you don't have the marriages and don't know for sure who father is then let's look em up

What I mean is, NL, we have a James and a Letitia who I think are brother and sister and we have a father James Rowbottom and a mother Mary née Hand who I think are their parents, but I can't find the family group in, say, the 1841 census, which would be proof enough for me

Same again with this as the other one, I can try and look more over the weekend. Bring it back as split names?

Can we archive this and then take each person at a time?
