Remember as people get older they start being proud and sometimes over state their age as they did when they were young children--
"I am nearly 5" and "I am nearly 90" tend to be acceptable but "I am nearly 40!!" tends to be "I am just over 30!"

I have done the marriage look up and it checks out
so father for Edward is Samuel and for Sarah is a William Wile nail maker
so get adding lass!!
