Judging by that the family group is right but Joseph did not marry Hannah Tromans.

Could someone chase up that 1861 census entry and see what Joseph Cole has as occupation, then try and find him in 1871?

I note that not only is Joseph's first-born son named 'Richard', but also his first daughter is named 'Rebecca'.

I'd love to find out how his mum, Rebecca Garratt, links to the Garratts. I suspect that she is somehow connected to Shelah Garratt who died in 1870 in Simms Lane, Netherton, as she is living there next to his son, Julius in 1871. Also this Shelah has a daughter, Rebecca (possibly named after a sister, Rebecca?).

This would be a case of looking up the Marriage certs and checking father's name wouldn't it as a starter
