1911 Married to Mary - Marriage stated as 8 years - did he marry a Mary as well as a MAria?? -If so there will ba a marriage about 1903!!

if this is the same reubens then is maria dead ? but no kids from 1901 census ?

I should have been marking but that is nowhere near as exciting as trying to follow this family backwards: Sorry I haven't got all the references but it goes something like this:

Joseph and Jane Worthington are to be found with John b. 1835, Joseph b.1839 and Mary Ann born 1833
Sadly I think in 1848 Joseph dies in Wolverhampton ( we would need a certificate to confirm this)

1851
Jane has remarried James Small and is living with Fanny b. 1842, Eliza b.1845 and Reuben b.1847 and his two boys? from a previous marriage. John is found as an apprentice, - I can't find Joseph and Mary Ann

1861
John has married a Jane and they have had a child John E. in 1858
Jane is still with James and Joseph and Reuben are with them as stepsons. Joseph marries Mary Ann Haden later that year.

I have lost a few sisters and brothers and children along the way - I have still not solved the mystery as to whether Reuben found a new Maria/Mary to marry before 1911 or what happened to Arthur and Elizabeth after 1901 but I have spent a lovely afternoon last in the past! Any Questions??
