Linell.
No. Edward Rowley married Sarah Baker in Tipton, 1804, Then eldest son Thomas bapt at Dudley for some reason, 2 children then bapt at Tipton, and then Edward & Sarah moved to Brierley Hill, where the rest of their children were born. After Sarah's death Edward then married the widow, Jane Allen - they had no children. Edward, both of his wives, and many of their children and some grandchildren were buried together at Wordsley - the monument is still there: if you go via the entrance from the car park, past the main doors of the church, it is on the right of the path, more or less on it's own.

Edward Rowley 'Junior' b 1807 Tipton, d 1853, bur Wordsley, m 14 Sept 1828 Tewkesbury, Glos (!!?), to Eunice Bayliss, b 1807, Tipton - no children that I am aware of.
Charles Rowley no connection to this family.
The property in
Level Street probably included 'The Old Queens Head', as Edward was also a publican, and I have records of him owning this - it is still there, but now a nightclub.

A lot of BC Ancestors Married in B'ham, I don't know why, pehaps it was the up market thing to do, like people today who marry in far flung places
Linell.
Definitely a different family, although curious that both Edwards are of similar age, and both have parents John & Sarah (although mothers obviously have different surnames) - one of those coincidences that seem to occur just to confuse us! My Edward definitely born in Tipton.

Hi Steve the address I gave you in Brierley Hill 1822 must be your Edward...............Charles Rowley must be connected somewhere, too much of a co-incidence not to be.........

Looking at the Will:
Edward Rowley widower m. Jane Allen widow of Richard Allen
Sarah Rowley, daughter of Edward and his 1st wife, Sarah Baker, married Richard Ghent Allen, son of Jane and her 1st husband, Richard Allen.
So Sarah married her step-brother, Richard?
Samuel Rowley "step-nephew" to Richard Ghent Allen (therefore a son of one Edward Rowleys other sons?) married Jane Allen. Isn't Samuel a child of Edward Rowley and Sarah Baker? Wouldn't this make him Richard Ghent Allen's step-brother?

Here's interesting, Steve.
Looks like Richard Ghent Allen says he was born in Chester, Cheshire too. So maybe this is where we should look for the Allen family?

Well done Di -looking very promising - must check these: were there other children for Edward & Jane Allen, and are there children there for Richard Allen & Jane?? Think a lookup needed here?

Yes....Sarah Rowley married her step-brother Richard Ghent Allen! - was this legal??
I think I made a little mistake re Samuel Rowley - his 'step-uncle' was Richard Allen, first husband of Jane (his father's second wife) - Richard Ghent Allen was indeed Samuel Rowleys step brother.
Samuel Rowleys wife, also Jane Allen, confuses things by her entries on three successive censuses by giving different ages and birthplaces, but among them were CHESTER and 1816, looks like all of these Allens may be related!?
