I have personal knowledge and can easily identify most of the people listed in the funeral notice except Jane; I have no idea who she was or who her family were.
It is also worth noting that "dad" sent a floral tribute, so I assume that William Henry Sr. was still alive when his son of the same name passed on.
William Henry GLOVER Jr. was buried in a simple grave in Victoria Road cemetery, Quarry Bank.
I paid a personal visit last year, the chapel has been demolished and like so many more grave yards it is in a rather sorry state I'm afraid.

It would appear that William was probably not born at Brierley Hill as noted in 1901 Census

"My Grandfather was Charles Glover the younger brother of your grandfather William. I too am having great dificulty in trying to track down the elusive Samuel Glover!
On my Granfathers birth Certificate William Glover was no longer a boatman, but a colliery labourer - I guess he lef t|help|the waterways due to lack of jobs growing family etc.
I note that your last posting was in Nov - I was wondering if you had made any headway with your search - If so I would be greatful for any info you may have."

1947 GLOVER William H Kingswinford Stourbridge Register Office KIN/15B/10 - This is definitely my Grandfather
As for my Great Grandfather I have him down as passing away in 1957 ten years after his son had died, the other two are obvious possibilities so I must recheck.
Regarding birth for my Great Grandfather; Dudley have informed me today that they have checked 5 years each side of 1871 and although they do have William Henry GLOVER's recorded none have the father's name of Samuel which is clearly shown on William Henry's marriage certificate.
According to FreeBMD there are 314 William GLOVER's listed in the period 1864 - 1875 nation wide. Hey Ho!!
then in that case if they have done a sweep 2 yrs either side of 1871 so 1869-1873
then this one looks even more interesting 1865 Surname Forename(s) Sub-District Registers At Reference GLOVER William H Dudley Dudley Register Office DUD/098/371
