Gwen was on the right track always make up after an argument.Never let silence rule!! I hate with a vengeance silent arguments! Partners talking to each other through their children!!
Even though i'm nearly always in the right i always make the first moves after a "heated discussion".

anyone that puts up with you and your very very strange behaviour needs a medal!
She must be a saint!
Or does she just lie low and ignore you

Just catching up with these posts. We are about to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary (coral I think) We married at 18 against all the advice, but despite plenty of ups and downs are very happy. Are we bucking the trend?
We have 2 successful grown up daughters, both happily married (and both married relatively young for these days) and 4 lovely grandchildren.
We have struggled, particularly in the early days, but I think moving away from disapproving family early on helped, and we were able to find our own way through problems.
Plenty of give and take and accepting that people are as they are would be my advice.
