Well, this latest marriage has thrown me. So now we know who the parents were of Louisa, but who are William and John Parkes. The husband of Rosanna was James Parkes born abt. 1807 in Birmingham. Could John Parkes be his brother and William their nephew? Thank you Jimmy, something else for me to consider.

There's an Ann Parkes born in Aston registered in 1843 Freebmd. Does this help?

Doesn't look to be the right Ann Parkes in 1843. I thought it might be worth trying. Thank you for all the help you've given me.

I wonder what happened to them? Did Louisa marry, give fathers name?
Not all births are on GRO. It's good to see mothers maiden name on there to see if you are on the right track though...

Thank you to everyone for more detail. Are we now saying that the Parkes Goulborn children born between 1854 and 1865 are the children of James and Rosanna Parkes?
James Parkes born 1807-1866 and Rosanna abt. 1800-1867 married in Birmingham in 1825. They had three children as far as I know Caroline Rosanna b. 1831 (my 2nd gt. grandmother), Henry James b. 1836 - 1866 and Ann b. 1841.
There is a marriage for Louisa Parkes b. 1860 in Birmingham. Marriage bmd with James Gibbons in 1881.
