Ok based on the bapt here

SAMUEL HINGLEY
Christening: 29 DEC 1793 Park Lane Presbyterian, Cradley, Worcester, Parents:
Father: JAMES HINGLEY
Mother: MARY Extracted

the area and the churches he is using to bapt kids I have now connected Samuel Hingley to James and Mary
I think that looks good
anyone disagrees speak up
Tibbotts gardens and the Billinghams connection did it for me too.

adding the other kids and bapts and will add link

If in 1861 there is a Leah Hingley with our Samuel as a G.dau
and in 1815 there is a Leah Hingley bapt to a Samuel and Elizabeth Hingley
and accord to Sparks Leah is the mother of Mary Billingham Samuels mother so Samuels G. mother

they have got to be connected surely?
I have both the marriages for look up for Samuel to see if he is a widower on the 1819

Can we pin down a dob for this mary ann weston nee Hingley
1881 she is b 1826 age 55

have we the 1871 and earlier ones?

I am just wondering if that 1816 is her
I think that first Mary dies and then they have Mary Maria

Where is this Mary Ann Hingley in 1841

actually can anyone post the neighbour for Samuel on the 1841 as I think it was an Ann Parsons with a dau Elizabeth

help!

On the 1841 at DUDLEY WOOD
is a Mary Ann Hingley father is a Nathaniel ( no r'ships on) mother Sarah
on oppo page is David Weston
father Joseph and mother is down as Ann

Joseph b1810 is the brother of David weston b 1827
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =697687067

1841 Dudley Wood
Joseph Weston 30
Ann Weston 30
David Weston 10
Askin Weston 6
Joseph Weston 3
Caroline Weston 1

1851: Dudley Wood, Dudley, Staffs
Joseph Weston 41 Head Chainmaker b.Rowley
Ann Weston 41 Wife b.Kingswinford
David Weston 20 Son b.Rowley
Hasker Weston 16 Dau
Joseph Weston 14 Son
Caroline Weston 9 Dau
Joshua Weston 4 Son
Esther Weston 2 Dau
others born Dudley Wood

so that David is still with the family in 1851
our David who married Mary ann Hingley is here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =675056037

but odd isnt it that this mary ann hingley
rite age
rite area
is living near her future brother in law on census in 1841

not sure where Samuel came from but I think our Mary ann hingley married to David Weston has father Nathaniel
or is in that hsehold for some reason

here

and a bapt for a Samuel

SAMUEL HINGLEY
Christening: 29 DEC 1793 Park Lane Presbyterian, Cradley, Worcester, Parents:
Father: JAMES HINGLEY
Mother: MARY Extracted

so if this is our Samuel that married Ann Homer we can at least join Mary Maria up and get rid of the other Samuel

BUT did this Mary Maria marry James priest or Edmund priest
Peter has entered this

Edmund Priest
Mary Maria Hingley
Marriage: 27 FEB 1854 St Edmund`S, Dudley

Linell has put a James Priest

this is the only one I can see so think it is Edmund
1854
Surname Forename(s) Surname Forename(s) Church / Register Office Registers At Reference
HINGLEY Mary M PRIEST Edmund Dudley, St Edmund Dudley Register Office 201/002/195

Hi all sorry been out in the sun all day :!: Yes NL, should read Edmund Priest not James. The Parsons living next door to the Hingley's in Tibbetts Gardens are connected somehow as Samuel Parsons aged 21 is a Grandson in Samuel and Ann's household in 1861. As for Mary Ann she does say she was born in Dudley Wood not Rowley :?: Best Wishes from Linell.

1841 Census Tibbetts Gardens Cradley Heath
Samuel Hingley 45
Ann 40
Edwin 20
Hannah 16
Sarah 16
Mary Maria 11
Timothy 9
Louisa 7
Leonora 5

Ann Parsons 24 No
Elizabeth 5
Samuel 1

So that Samuel is the one who is Grandson in 1861. I think you are right NL, Samuel Married twice, and has older children. Ann says she was Not born in the County, she was probably born Cradley the other side of the Stour, and baptised at Park Lane. Linell.

Ok Kaye, any input much appreciated. Here is Nathaniel Hingley in Dudley Wood 1851:-

Nathaniel Hingley 48 Chain Maker RR
Sarah Wife 45 K/S
David 14 RR
Hannah 14 Dudley Wood
Elizabeth 13 Dudley Wood
Noah 8 Dudley Wood
Nathaniel 6 Dudley Wood

So Mary Ann has left home by 1851.

Linell.

Well it certainly is starting to hang together
So we can join up that Mary ann with William parsons
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =817364547

so these should be the parents of Elizabeth and Samuel
hopefully
can we establish that?

So plan of action
do look up for David Weston and Mary ann hingley verify father for Mary ann

(I dont think it is that Samuel even if it says Samuel dont believe it is the one married to ann homer)

I think Samuel was married twice
so checking out marriages both of em
Saml and Elizabeth bloomer
Saml and Ann homer
Q is he a widow

I think that is our Mary Ann Hingley age 15 on the 1841 at Dudley Wood living few doors away from
future bro in law
with poss mother Sarah Hingley married prev

dont know who to any ideas on that would be great

:o

Well that confirms that Mary Ann Hingley belongs to Sarah and Nathaniel Hingley, as you say NL need to check on the Marriages. Shall we arch this now pending look ups? Linell.
