These are the marriage and birth certificates I have for John Nock, more information to follow. Thank you for all your help so far!

Info I have so far for John Nock:

History given by John's granddaughter: John born West Bromwich, mother Mary, father unknown, wife Sarah. Certificates (posted) support this.

I have found John and his family on the following census's

1881 Mexborough-lodger with David Plant
1891 Denaby
1901 Rotherham
1911 Brackenhill, Wakefield

Died 1938 Ackworth 85 years

1871 spouse Sarah Wright Nuneaton with parents-no sign of John

Mother Mary
1851 West Bromwich Servant
1854 marries George Wheatley
1861 onwards Mary is with George and their family no record of John.

No record of John living with his Grandfather William Nock or living with marriage witnesses that I can find.

I believe that he may have been in an orphanage or workhouse. Are these records available to view?

So this is the right JOhn Nock
Just the query is still where is he in 1861 and 1871

This is the right John Nock however from his birth in 1853 until his marriage in 1873 I cannot find him. He doesn't appear. on the 1861 and 1871 census

I have found a connection for David Plant on BCC.
