Henry has changed from Gr Son to Son! makes me wonder which is correct and who is parents are.

Question:

I know that genealogy works backwards rather than forwards but if NL is happy that Charles Davies if the father of Elizabeth Davies despite the "father John" on the marriage certificate can I add the links forward to my family?

These confirm my findings - I was just offput by the marriage certificate that says father of Elizabeth is John but as NL says it must be a transcribe error - I will put it on my lookups for when I go to the record office and see what the original says.
