I don't think Northerlass would have liked Madam Clarkes in Wolverhampton then, does anyone remember it ? it was real spit and sawdust, with spittoons under the tables and the bar was made up of beer barrels and the toilets were down steps under the road, and bar and snug, in the bar it was smoking and snuff takers.I have spent many hours in there when I was a student at W'ton art college.
Mike.

Hi,Rob....I don't know if Madam Clarkes is still going but I suspect it maybe a 21st cent. Wine Bar, mate, or a food outlet type of place.under another name. The Trumpet in Bilston is another good Pub.....I haven't been there for years.
Regards...Mike.
