Tamar Bloomer married Joseph Westwood 1895 JAS Dudley 6c 89.

Same Tamar? Was she a widow when she married Alfred Southall?

There were two Tamar Bloomer's the one who Married Joseph Westwood daughter of Joseph Smith Bloomer and Elizabeth Attwood. I have notes on Alf and Tamar Southall:- Alfred had been connected with Overend Mission Cradley from it's formation, with his brother Harry. As a boy he attended High Town Ragged School and became a teacher there at the tender age of 16. A builder by trade, he helped construct the first iron building. With his friend Herbert Roberts he helped constuct the present building. He taught in the Sunday School all his life and was awarded a long service diploma by the Sunday School Union. He also served as a trustee and was a member of the Debating Society, and leader of the Women's Bible Class. Seven years after his death an electric clock was presented to the Church in his memory. Tamar was also very involved with Overend Mission, and carried on helping in what ever way she could after Alfs death.

From 'The History of Cradley Churches.' I will request a look up for the Marriage of Tamar and Alfred Southall. Linell.

Opps, I got the wrong marriage - thanks linell. Now, there's other Southalls in my tree, so maybe there's another inter-family relationship to uncover!

Hi Mezentia, have posted a request for a look up of the Marriage of Alfred Southall and Tamar Bloomer, so don't change anything until we have it confirmed. I am not sure now, I checked the 1901 Census and Tamar wife of Joseph Westwood is aged 24 whilst Tamar wife of Alfred Southall is aged 28! So hang fire, Linell.
