The death registry in Govan, County of Lanarkshire. The address isnt clear may be Muir head place, Stockton Street?

Father, James Garratt, Chain MakerForeman deceased. Mother, Elizabeth Garratt MS Scriven deceased. (I got that surname from IGI, its hard to read on this!)

re. peterd. Ebeneezer GARRATT b. 29.10.1872 Glasgow. may be deceased before 1881 cen. (gap of 4 yrs in Thomas Garratt & Martha Spittle's childrens birth dates 1871 - 1875).....Lot of Garratt interchange between Rowley and Glasgow, but still no sign of Thomas b. 1845

If you got the marriage cert it would say who his father is and that may help.

The way we work this is that if we have gone as far as we can with the thread we archive pending either look up or certif obtained
and then you only have to pm a moderator ie Myself Peterd or Mallosa and I we will bring it back

but as the turnaround on the certifs is rapid I can leave this for a few days and then you can let us know the outcome

Some of the info I found I cant decipher very well. If anyone would like to help would you please email me and I'll send a snippett for you.
