They were in Dudley at that time (Kate's Hill - Cawney Hill / Watsons Green area)

I don't think he's the son of John Hickman/ Sarah Harthill- she's a widow in 1871, with unmarried children James 46, Thomas 41, Sarah 30, and Emma 18.
