Is it worth me sending for a death certificate to see if this might throw light onto the riddle of Joseph Rose wife of Mary Parkes or can we get any further without me forking out £10.

It might be worth sending for it, I think the name Rhodes on the marriage cert should be Rose.

So it looks to me like

Joseph Rhodes who died in the pit fall is the one married to Eliza with the 5 kids...shown on census in 1841 and 1851

So our Joseph Rhodes does marry Mary ann parkes father Abraham...she is with him in 1851 on census.
He is prob. a Joseph Rose misheard/misspelt on marriage

and is the one who dies in 1850 RR that jimmy found....possibly

I am putting that on Bcc.....

is that burial on free reg jimmy ?

so I have amended here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =262680228

and put the other Joseph here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =652058739

I dont think yours is the pit one.

Think you will have to do that to check it out.

not sure we can do anymore with this one so will move to archive
as you have another thread running with Joseph Rose on.
