We certainly should be doing it properly and if that's how it should be spelt, so be it!

Thankyou Gardener for pointing it out

Annie :-)

That's what worries me! My English is totally out of date and the only rude expressions my kids hear are circa 1980
It doesn't worry me that much so go with what you lot like :-)

I know Gardners Ancestors' is the correct way to spell it :-) but I must admit I like the look of Ancestors better for the T Shirt.

We at Genealogy Forum UK are proud to be associated with the launch of 'Ancestors Week' today - Sunday 21st June 2009

A time to remember all those that came before us and made us who we are.
It doesn't matter who or where you are in the world, we all have ancestors, so within this week, maybe we could get behind our local history groups or help to organise events?
Perhaps meet up with new found family members or even friends you have made during your research?

We would welcome your support

This is a great idea and I am sure the local history groups or conservation groups would welcome support.
There are many local projects going on around us that always need volunteers.
One of those is organised graveyard maintenance your local history society or church may know of a project
going on or contact your local archives or volunteer bureau.

Perhaps next year we can organise something ourselves and all meet up which would be good too.

Finding out about where we all came from, who they were what they did is a popular and rewarding hobby.
The Black Country Connections tree is also pleased to be associated with this launch of
Ancestors Week

HAPPY ANCESTORS WEEK TO ALL THE MEMBERS ON THE FORUM AND YOUR ANCESTORS

Mallosa , Northern Lass and Linnel can I say what lovely words you have all wrote , I do volunteer for the Huddersfield FHS doing subscribing and going round grave yards transcribing the headstone's so I will work a bit harder this week at it , I also take my close ancestors flowers to the cemetery and crematorium every 2 weeks , this week I will also visit some of the others further down the line .

I'm looking forward to arranging things for next and do hope it can take off in a big way, we will have to make posters and ask them to put them up in local library and archives.

Last but not least I hope some of my ancestors come out of hiding this week.
