I only have fan oven so bearing in mind discussion prev. what temp should I do ....200 fan was too hot prev....so 180? You could try 180 and turn it up towards the end if it is not browning very quickly. Tap it underneath like you would a normal loaf or a scone to see if sounds hollow

how big are the cups you use? I use a 250ml cup

and do you have to let the yoghurt and milk settle for 10 mins I didn't, just mixed it a bit and poured it in

and do you have to put dough into a tin? No. It might spread a bit without a tin, and that might make it cook a bit faster
could you just put on a baking tray and cook?
Sure. I think in Ireland they use the same mix and roll it out a bit to make soda scones
