No I don't have a clue where she was born in England. I know she was the oldest...positive Henry and Eliza her parents.. she was born around 1871 or 73....Eliza and Henry didn't marry till August of of 1875 in St. James Gateshead Durham so possibly around there.
Interestingly just found out that Henry murdered Eliza in 1905 in a drunken rage with a poker iron....gets more interesting as I go along...thanks to you.

That must be her...as they were not married in til 1875...wonder if she was even Henry Bills child as she wasn't baptized with Hannah, thomas and Henry at st. Peters in Monk Wearmouth Durham. They married after the birth of Tamar who was born in 2874. Any way to find out the father of Emma?????

Hi
That has to be her with the christening of Emma and Benjamin in 1871. Benjamin was born in April 1871...her father's first name was John...and that appears to be Benjamins middle name. I think I found Henry in 1871 census as a boarder in Sunderland in the home of Dorothy Crawford. ..he says he is married but no sign of Eliza in that house.

Could Henry have been married before he married Eliza.

Were Benjamin and Emma twins, I can't see anything that match's.

No I doubt that they were twins...dates for emma run anywhere from 1869 to 1871...I think they just went with whatever age they wanted to be that day. And on yhe ship manifest they are 2 years apart.
The ages just keep changing...in US census Henry's date of birth is 1849..and thats wrong.
If that is Eliza in that census as a niece/domestic advantage maybe she made herself younger, because in that census she would have been born in 1845...or maybe the person who gave her age just guessed.
I don't think Henry was ever married before but then I would have never guessed he married his wife.
In order to find out the father of Emma and Tamar I would have to order a birth certificate is that right? And do you know to where I could do that?
You are marvelous in finding out all these leads and I greatly appreciate it...I look forward every day to see what else you have been able to turn up...it's amazing!!! I thank you so much.
