If you compare the baptism surnames with the census names then I think it shows some variety in the spelling so this could be your Jane's family.

those two have the same film number so it is hard to see what are name variations and what are transcription variations. Plus a different date!

2 bap different date might be two sons first one poss died and name there second one the same

Peterd is probably right on all counts. It looks as though Herbert #1 died and two years later the name was used again.

All I have to do now is find the marriage of her to Joseph Beard!!!!

Some marriages were not recorded on GRO due to errors etc these need to be searched for at the Parish records -its the only way
