Thanks folks. I have him as a bricklayer builder. So now I have an accurate year for emigration. As far as I know he and Clara were the only Foleys who emigrated who actually stayed there.

Hi SS,
According to the Image he was the only Foley on the list, and gave his wife's address as a contact, perhaps he went over to check things out before they emigrated.

Have had a look on rootsweb. Typed in William Henry Foley and there were only 3 in the death registers. 2 were father and son.

Found a Clara Foley c1874 with spouse William H in 1930 census at Los Angeles but need to pay to view. Anyone got access please?

Ok, now read post properly, I think. so 1923 was when they emigrated from Canada. Right?

Blow me! William Snr was a big fella, eh? It's wonderful to have such personal info. Notice they all have blue eyes and mothers are too.

His wife was too at 5 foot 4, and 13 half and stone.
