On BCC

Hi Rob
This marriage may give you a lead on Emma's hubby, if she had one.
Marriages Mar 1884
Hall Joseph Stourbridge 6c 187
WESTWOOD Mary Ann Stourbridge 6c 187

I'm not sure whose son Alfred is, I suspect Mary Ann's illegitimate son, Alfred goes by Westwood on the 81 & 1901 and Hall on the 91.
Possible birth -
Births Sep 1881
Westwood Alfred Stourbridge 6c 208

Thanks FarSide !!
So what i want is a look-up for the marriage and see who the father and mother was of Mary Ann.
Alfred is Mary Ann's son.

That seems like their wedding.Do i go to Dudley or Sandwell for a lookup?
Was the reason why Frank Williams my grandfather was adopted by Joseph and Mary (sic) that they were relatives of Edwin Lloyd Williams and Mercy Williams? Mercy died in childbirth of Frank 1897.The Halls and the Williams lived in the same street as well.Mott Street Blackheath.
I'm sure they were but i can't find the link as yet but Warley Wigorn Salop(or Worcestershire) seems to be cropping up a lot.
As does Hackett Street and the names Bateman and Mole.
I'll find out its just going to take a little time.

this is a rite bag of nails this one.....

Ok have done the marriage look up
for Joseph Hall and Mary Ann Westwood

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =527591329

now Robbie you need to post those census you have on this lot save us reinventing the wheel!!

The look up showed that John Hill the lodger with Emma Westwood is father to Mary Ann Westwood

and

Joseph Hall is a rite conundrum....(sp?)

his father ....and it certainly looked like it...was a Joseph Deason ....there was a Deakin on prev page and it wasnt that!

so who on earth is he?

how come Joseph is a Hall
who is his mother!!

over to you lot...and Rob post what you know...

The rest has already been mentioned.

Mary Ann Hall born about 1844 ,Josephs mother, doesnt look as if she was married either.
1861 Census Perry Hill (which is near to Ridgacre and Warley Wigorn)
But i'm going to investigate that further before putting the info on here.

Hi Rob
Just trying to get my head around this lot, are the parents of Frank Williams def Edwin Lloyd Williams and Mercy Firken, is this from the birth cert?

I think that is a very very good point FS

I am not sure if Rob has actually bought the birth certif
think he looked up the marriage

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =312851200

but father is deceased by then and down as Edward
which is odd as father is deffo Edwin on census

ok it is mott st but so what!
could have been lots of Williams living there.

so good question FS ...hope you get an answer ....fog and plaiting spring to mind
ha ha ....love ya Rob!
