Oh they maybe connected to me then. James Woodhouse born 1832-34 Married Mira Stringer. They are both in my tree, Married 25.10.1852 St Johns Dudley. James's father was James born 1803 and Sarah Dunn. Isn't it a bonus when we get pictures as well

Best Wishes from Linell.

I have done the marriage look up for this thread and the Joseph on that link with father Emmanuel is not the one that married Mary Ann Brown
so is that Joseph on previous census the one who marries Mary ann brown?
here is the marriage
8 Nov 1869 St Johns Dudley ( Kates hill)
-Joseph Woodhouse- 22- bach- chainmaker- Dudley- Thomas Woodhouse - chainmaker
-Mary Ann Brown- 19 spinster- servant- Old hill - Dudley- Henry Brown- Collier
banns
X both
Wit- Thomas Woodhouse X / Hugh? Brown
So where do we slot this one in
I haven't as yet so help needed please

So is the one we have this one

WOODHOUSE Joseph JOHNSON Mary A Dudley, St James Dudley Register Office 202/008/174
father should be Emmanuel
we could do with confirming that!

Think that Lye address in 1851 is probably Dark Lane and not Back.

It says Back Lane on the actual Census Page, SS.
Also The Enumerators description says - Commencing at the Brickmakers Arms Inn, Lye Forge - taking the right hand side of the road to The Cross - Including Back Lane, by The Royal Oak Inn - to the bottom and along Bott Lane.
What do you think?
