Added some notes on Benjamin so if anyone sees it on Bcc they can contact you
do you have Benjamin on marriage certifs of kids at all as down as deceased etc
on the death certif for Wm Skidmore does it give the address for who registered death
was it Benjamin
have you tried electoral regis for each year for an address you know Benjamin was at?

Hiya Kevin,
I found a 1925 Border crossing for Benjamin. He was returning to Ontario from Rhode Island. The date was
August 25, 1925.
It states his closest relative in the USA was his brother-in-law, Reg Hobson. It also states he was going to see his
father, William, in Stratford, Ontario.
It also states he only had $3.50 in his possession. it states he lived in Ontario between 1906 - 1910.
I also found the marriage record for Benjamin & Eleanor.
They married on September 24, 1906 in Stratford, Ontario.
The witnesses were John Hobson & Annie Ramsden.
A 1935 Voter's List shows Benjamin with a wife in Stratford. It only lists her name as Mrs. B. Skidmore.
so it appears Benjamin remarried at some point.
In a 1940 Voter's list, I see a Benjamin Skidmore & wife in
Toronto, Ontario. I cannot say for a certainty it is your
Benjamin. They appear again in Toronto in 1957. It states he is retired. They appear again in 1963 in Toronto. This time his wife's name appears as Edith.
The timeframe is correct, so there is a possibility it is him.
Having said that, I have not been able to find a death record for Benjamin.
My best guess at this point would be Toronto, Ontario, after 1963.

hi,yes thats not the right benjamin the birth date is wrong,his father died in 1933 and lived at 21 chesnut street stratford ontario,and according to his death record lived there with his son benjamin and wife.his father william is buried in avondale cemetry in stratford ontario.cheers kev

i think i have finaly found benjamin skidmore,intered at avondale cemetery stratford perth ontario on 20/04/1950 next to his mother and father thanks every one for all the help.

someone looked up the avondale cemetry records for me and sent the list and a rumour from family in the usa came to light that he had died about 1950 so the timeframe is about right.
