Thanks for all your help and interest, I'm overwhelmed - Kate Cutler married Job Grove(b.abt.1867) (not Groves) got them on 1891 census Riddings Street? Rowley Regis and then second husband was Elijah Willetts.

Elijah and Kate had four children Rene, Moses, Mary and Elijah (1907-1971)

I have had it suggested that one of the Willetts was a prominent local preacher or minister - does anyone know where I might look this up?

No Emily Willetts on 1871 census have Mary Anne and Moses Willetts with Sarah J abt 1864, Henry 1865, Ann 1867, Hannah E 1867, Elijah 1870, Mary 1865. (Must be some twins here!)

Does anyone know of a black country connection to the pianist Alberto Semprini born 1908 in Bath - I have been told that he was married to a local black country girl, anyone else heard this?

re the Grove and Groves dont worry about that the names I find are one and the same an S missed off or added here and there!

We keep to one variation on Connections so it will be added as Grove
makes searching easier.

think Emily is from a different family I have a thread on that going now.

on the 1901 the Elijah there is married I think to a Witherford
1901 living dudley wood netherton with an Annie b 1876 and down the road is an Esther Witherford
could be Annies ma!

so the kids underlined above must be his from a prev marriage
as he marries Kate in 1904?

he did marry a Bates sure of it
