Hi Northern Lass & Jimmy
Yes Jimmy that is the correct one and Birmingham told me they did not have it and to try Sandwell because Sandwell have some BMD for Kings Norton , Sandwell don't have it so will try the link Jimmy put, if they don't have it I will try the GRO Like Northern Lass suggests.
Thank you for all your help , one way or another I will find it somewhere .

Hi Annie,
I inquired at Worcester History centre, and they sent me this reply,
There are two ways for obtaining this certificate, you can order online
at
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates, this is a quick way of
getting your certificate.
Or you can contact the local registrar for a copy of the certificate,
however there is no longer a Registrars at Kings Norton and the
registers for births, marriages and deaths for this area have been
divided up into several places mainly Birmingham therefore in the first
instance we would advise you to contact the Register Office in
Birmingham:
Register Office
Holliday Wharf
Holliday Street
Birmingham
B1 1TJ
England
United Kingdom
Telephone: 0121 675 1000
Outside UK: (+) 44 121 675 1000
Email: register.office@birmingham.gov.uk

Hi Jimmy thank you for taking the time to enquire about Kings Norton for me, I tried the Birmingham office at Holiday Wharf and they checked their records and did not have it so I have applied to the GRO link you sent me and it will be sent out on the 6 May 2009 if they have it.
I will let you know when I hear from them and knowing my luck it will not be my family after all the trouble I have had finding it.

Ann
Annie why not go via the GRO
can you post the actual vol and ref no as I have a list that birmingham sent me for what is where re B'ham
rather what B'ham have
Thought I would let all the kind members who helped me with this marriage at Kings Norton, I applied to the GRO like Northern Lass adviced and the good news is they found the marriage of Elizabeth Faulkner , the bad news she did not marry John Johnson, so back where I started with this one.
