Bromford Lane is still there Mally - it runs from Low Town in Oldbury to West Bromwich, which is in Staffordshire. Electoral Rolls for Bromford Lane are held at Smethwick Archives, from 1919. There might also be a Bromford Lane, in Birmingham, but the one Sue mentioned earlier is in West Bromwich.
