Righty HO, serious point now. I have written this as part of my script, so I hope it meets approval as to conveying the urge to correct spellings of names.

Keeping the originality of peoples names as the enumerator wrote them down is vital. Remember that this was written over 170 years ago. It is possible that you could be looking at the last known recording of a surname spelt that way, which is extremely important and valuable to a Genealogist. If you think the name is wrong, use the note column to register your concerns.
