Hit a Brickwall? Have you lost all trace of someone? Do not despair, simply make a note they were abducted by aliens! Don't believe in aliens? No problem, just write them off as having disapeared in a time portal

Re: Introduction to Spreadsheet video.
Started to have a look .....so not seen all of it.
I think you need to show a tag which shows in huge print what you are writing /typing in on the screen.
I would ditch the its not a race......sounded a bit school master
say.....instead
"remember it is a marathon and not a sprint so take your time when adding the info."
Still think you need to show on form all the info exactly as it is on image with a column for what you think it should say.
And I think you should leave that line in for the uninhabited building line 11 was it
that is where I am up to.
still would do bite size chunks of say 3 mins an image.
Still sounding Good Andrew.......In fact you sound damn good!!......do you look as good as you sound
Do you look like Matthew Rhys by any chance?
sorry I digress
Have you contacted ad agencies re voice overs for a JOb..............I used to work for an advertising agency and
we had list of voice overs on our books.
Some good money to be made chuck

Re: Introduction to Spreadsheet video.
I listened to it Andrew!!It's been a long time since i've had to listen for so long.Except perhaps when i'm in the doghouse for coming home so late after tennis.
I agree with NL about the uninhabited buildings and possibly the "marathon" instead of "race" but that's nitpicking.
Having an error check was also helpful.
I found it most interesting and informative.Your voice has a slight "West Country" burr but hey we can't all be perfect.

Re: Introduction to Spreadsheet video.
The co-ordinator is in middle of house move and he still has not got his internet connection, but I will seek clarification on the row issue. Its a matter of how the database is set up and how the data is returned on the website.
Yes I have a bit of a West country accent thanks to my ex-wife. Her family came from Dorset but moved here when she was a child. Everyone would say how my ex and her sister sounded the same, but to me they were totally different, that was simply down to having the same accent and people just hearing the same accent.
I did not really rate my voice and this is first time I have had anyone mention voice over work, I just thought I was average sounding and nothing special.
I picked up this accent within weeks of spending regular time with my ex. although I have had nothing to do with her for over 12 years I still have this accent!
As for looks, well proof is in the pudding so to speak. I only had one proper girlfriend and that was my ex wife, so I married her, but then she ran off with another man after 7 years and left the kids with me.
Finally dont panic with the lengths, yes they are long, but I am going to start on a brief summary without any of the longer demonstrations etc.
Again I will remind you of another saying, horses for courses. Target audience will most likely sit through this and not mind it is this long, you are not the target audience, so granny sitting through a 1 hour video on how to suck eggs will be bored from 1st minute.
From my other charity work at the local IT club, I know that some people do like to be shown everything at least twice, then there are those who just say, "just show me where such and such is and let me get on with it".
Just wait and see!
