Nearly 70, with an enjoyable life of no smoking, drinking, mostly wine, love food, especially Greek food, moderate exercise and can still run up the first hill in Clent. Sold my 30 gear bike last year, but only because the roads scare me to death.

Re: BBQ's
As far as starting the BBQ....
We use a starter (a metal tube with a heatproof handle and a metal mesh section at the bottom). Fill the starter up with coal and put whatever you're using to light the coals at the bottom (we use environmentally friendly Blocks that don't smell). Light, it usually takes about 30 mins, but varies according to the weather. When the coals are nice and red, tip (carefully) into the BBQ.
We use a kettle grill (one with a lid), this has the advantage of being able to be used like an oven, so we can BBQ big joints and even the Xmas turkey! It also Means that when we've finished cooking our dinner we close the vents - the coals go out, and can then be reused. When the're cold we transfer them back into the starter - top up the amount, and you're ready for the next BBQ!
It's also worth investing in good quality coals as they last longer.
So how's the BBQing going Rob - no singed eyebrows I hope!
