Hi Jimmy ...you hot on the lonesome trail here....
So we can't link that Richard can we as not the Grandfather
so who I wonder was that Richard Earp?
and did he marry a someone Wyatt
did they perhaps just call their kid Wyatt after this famous Wyatt?

So Far I have not been able to link Richard to Wyatt,
Wyatt's ancestor who came from England seems to be a Thomas born about mid to late 1600's.

Hi all, looks as though different historians have different ideas as to Wyatt Earp's lineage? Are there any Richard Earps on the IGI for Walsall? Best Wishes Linell.

I can't find a Richard Earp (born in England) in any census in America.

Re: Can we link these Earps to the Walsall Earps and add to tree
nice one FS
but isnt it James Earp who is the brother of Nicholas porter?
cos grandfather of Sarah so that would be Sarah Lucy as that is her line
father Abraham
grandfather James
Gt grand f Abraham
cos the other Sarah is a Harvey so wouldnt be her
we need to get this on but perhaps not put Barbara Nash on who died when?
only up to Daniel Nash and Sarah Lucy Earp
footnote:- thought it was recently she died but it was
January 9, 2008 article published
excellent work as always
can you put a copy FS of that link under Linells strory in the history section (local) too good that not to be added

Will do, I'll add this lot to BCC..
Still not convinced regarding the bro to Nicholas Porter Earp. James was b abt 1823 in Alrewas ( a large village approximately 5 miles north of Lichfield in Staffordshire), father was Abraham b Derbyshire. Nicholas b 1813ish from all accounts from a long line of american Earps (Nicholas Porter Earp was born September 6, 1813 in Lincoln County, North Carolina, to Walter and Martha Ann Earp). Not sure where the link is unless possibly bro to Walter returned to BC.
I'll keep at it tho..

Thanks Fs I agree with you
I am unconvinced he is the brother ( James) of Nicholas P Earp....doesnt seem to tally
and it is good to know that we check info ourselves( as much as poss) before it goes on the tree our real attention to detail where ever we can
I know we are not perfect but hey we nearly are!

It would be brilliant to uncover the link on this how they do link and I am sure they do going back.

If Sarah's grandfather James was the brother of Nicholas how come he was born in ALREWES, which is in Staffordshire, it don't make sense to me.
