Those were the days when a whole bar of chocolate only costed a penny!!
In my day you could get four chewy sweets for a penny (and not huge ones at that!)!!

i remember getting 10 pence pocket money and running down the shop to get 20 chocolates logs, no wonder im fat with rotten teeth

I used to love Palm Sunday at Church, we would each come home with a cross woven out of wheat I think and a little card with a picture and a verse on. Always remember the sun shining granddad would pick us up from church and take us to the park, then we'd all go to the pub and sit outside with bottles on lemonade. Always went home with black soot on my dress from sitting on the back steps of the pub. Anyone remember the Waggon in Tividale ?

Not very far - it was at the bottom of Hill Road, on the corner of Groveland Road - spent a few hours sitting on that step - waste of time whitening mine and my sisters pumps.
