'Halesowen by Oldbury' is an old fashioned way of writing 'Halesowen near Oldbury' Val..............

I found a bit of information on Oldbury Presbyterian Chapel DT:-

Some Halesowen Non Conformists travelled to Oldbury, where the old Chapel, established by the Church before the Reformation had been taken over by the Presbyterian Congregation during the Commonwealth. In 1705 the Vicar of Halesowen had to admit that the Chapel there was still being served by Non Comforming Ministers.

Sounds like the Chapel has a long history DT. Hopefully you can locate some of the records.

Thank you Linell , I will put your information on my tree. I will have a good look at the Hive, I am hoping I will find something. Otherwise I will try to get to Dudley when the weather gets warmer. :-)
